Little People, Little IncisionsThe Division of Pediatric Surgery at UCSF Benioff Children's Hospital is dedicated to providing expert surgical care for fetuses, infants, children, and adolescents with congenital and acquired conditions. Our world-renowned surgeons care for patients from throughout California at the UCSF Benioff Children's Hospital, California Pacific Medical Center (CPMC), and Kaiser San Francisco.
Our surgeons remain committed to the ongoing development of new surgical techniques for treating diseases in children-particularly minimally invasive approaches to replace more invasive open procedures that require large incisions.
Our team of doctors, nurses and support staff
are also founders of the UCSF Fetal Treatment Center of
Excellence, which provides care to babies still in the
womb. As the pioneers of fetal surgery, our team has always
been on the leading edge of treating fetal disease. In addition, we
are members of the UCSF
Comprehensive Cancer Center, working closely with pediatric
oncologists to care for children with cancer.
Our staff is committed to providing the highest level of care for children with chronic conditions from birth through adolescence. The LIFE Clinic Program (Long-Term Infant-to-Adult Follow-Up and Evaluation Program) specializes in providing long-term multidisciplinary follow-up care for children surviving and thriving with birth defects
